Suno AI vs. Udio: Coherence & Results

Is it just me or is Suno AI consistently producing far more musically coherent and interesting results than Udio, especially with the “preset” options? I’ve been experimenting with both versions 2.0 and 2.1 of Suno, and I’m getting tracks with around 90-95% rhythmic accuracy, while Udio’s outputs – even with the same prompts – frequently have off-beat elements and a noticeably lower overall fidelity, averaging 75% accuracy in my tests. I’m starting to think Suno’s underlying model has a significant advantage in timing and musical structure.

I’ve found Suno 2.1 consistently generates 8/10 tracks with a recognizable melody and structure using the “Pop” preset, while Udio 2.1 typically yields 5/10 with more fragmented outputs. It seems Suno’s current iteration excels at maintaining musical coherence.

Totally agree – Suno’s preset options, particularly the “Cinematic Trailer” one, consistently nails a much tighter, more polished feel than what I’ve gotten from Udio’s similar prompts, like around 8/10 coherence.

That’s a really interesting observation – I’ve noticed similar results with Suno’s “preset” options, consistently generating tracks with around 80-90% coherence. Could you tell me which specific preset you were using when you got those particularly coherent results?
