GPT-4o Code Interpreter: CSV Data Viz

TIL... GPT-4o’s new Code Interpreter now allows direct data visualization from CSV files, offering a potentially faster workflow than exporting to tools like Tableau – I’ve already tested a small dataset and the charts generated were surprisingly accurate.

While the direct CSV visualization in GPT-4o is interesting, I found Power BI’s interactive filtering capabilities on similar datasets far superior for initial exploration, especially when dealing with 10,000+ rows.

Yeah, I just played around with the CSV data viz in GPT-4o’s Code Interpreter – it generated a scatter plot from my sales data in Pandas in under 10 seconds, which is a huge time saver compared to my usual Tableau export.

That’s incredible – could you tell me what chart types GPT-4o’s Code Interpreter natively supported with the CSV data viz feature, specifically did it handle creating a scatter plot with 10,000 data points?

That’s fantastic – I’ve been experimenting with importing CSV data directly into GPT-4o’s Code Interpreter and generated a Pareto chart in under 60 seconds, saving me roughly 30 minutes compared to my usual Tableau export.

“That’s fantastic – I’ve found Power BI’s direct CSV import and quick chart creation saves me about 30 minutes per report compared to Tableau’s export/import process.”
